Privacy
The short version: we only keep what we need to give you your free pages, we never sell it, and you can delete it yourself anytime.
Who we are
Minty Boo is a tiny publishing house run by a husband-and-wife team. Questions about your data? Email us at community@mintyboo.com.
What we collect when you join the free pages club
- The name you'd like us to call you, and your email address.
- What kind of book you'd like us to make next, if you tell us.
- Which Amazon store you picked on our site, so our links take you to the right country.
- A record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, when, and the internet address you used.
- When you joined, when you last visited, and which free pages you downloaded.
Why we use it
To send you the sign-in links that open your free pages, and, if you're happy to hear from us, occasional news emails. We rely on your consent to do this, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Who sees it
Only us. Your details are stored on our web host's servers (Hostinger), and our emails are sent through our own email account. We never sell or rent your details to anyone.
Cookies
When you sign in we set one cookie so you stay signed in for up to 90 days. It holds a random code, not your details. Our fonts are stored on our own website, so no other company sees your visit. The homepage remembers which Amazon store you picked in your own browser.
Visit counts
To see how many people visit and which pages they like, our website counts visits without cookies and without keeping your internet address. Each visitor gets a code that changes every day, so we can't recognise you or follow you from one day to the next. We also note your country (worked out from your internet address, which is then thrown away), whether you're on a phone or a computer, and which website sent you. Visit counts are deleted after 25 months.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account or ask us to. If someone signs up but never confirms their email, we delete those details after 30 days.
Your choices
- Stop emails: use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or untick it under "Your account" on your free pages.
- Change your details or see what we hold: email us and we'll help.
- Delete everything: sign in and choose "Delete my account", or email us.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can also contact your local data protection authority.
Age
The free pages club is for ages 16 and up. If you're younger, please ask a parent or guardian to sign up for you.
